Things to try 2015

Less than 3 days till 2015 and Christmas has really put a hole in my budget. Just saving up in the New Year for some more beauty treats. Here are some great products I have been itching to try.

Chanel has a new blush in their spring Collection Rêverie Parisienne. Blush Camélia Rosé is a beautiful floral cheek colour with two slightly simmering coral peach and light icy pink shade. I love the beautiful rose printed palette and as always Chanel’s high quality finish. This will be available soon in Australia check DavidJones.

Elizabeth and James Nirvana White is described as a feminine scent with dark sophistication. It has a captivating blend of delicate peony, chic muguet, and tender musk and of course in a beautiful packaging. I feel that just one might not be enough so I might have to get the Nirvana Black as well to suit my moods. Buy it from Sephora (here)

Tom Ford Traceless Perfecting Foundation – is a natural, long wearing foundation with buildable, medium-to-full coverage and SPF 15. It was released in 2014 and it has been a loved product on most beauty blogger’s list. This foundation sits somewhere in between the existing Traceless Foundation Stick (too thick) and Traceless Foundation SPF 15 (too thin/sheer). My inner foundation Goldie locks just can resist this new foundation, which is just right. Buy it from David Jones (here)

Diptyque Candle - Tomas Maier and Diptyque have partnered on an exclusive collaboration for a new collection of candles inspired by Tomas Maier's travels. Three candles are Old Montauk Highway, Palm Beach, West District Road.  Each reminiscent of salty sea, beach and flowery meadows. My favorite is PB (Palm Beach). I love the matt black glass with white palm tree label.

Palm Beach: Evokes a walled, tropical garden on a southern Florida barrier island featuring scents of jasmine & iris, lemon & lime trees, salt from the sea and fresh cut grass.
West District Road: Reminiscent of the scents on a saltwater farm of a Northern Atlantic island plush with ferns, fir and birch trees, hay, wild iris and meadow rose, moss and sea mist
Old Montauk Highway: On a bluff high above the roaring Atlantic Ocean featuring scents of lady slipper orchids, black pine, bayberry, heather misted by the salty ocean breeze

Burberry Lip Definer: I haven’t really been using lip liners but I really want to try the Burberry lip liner in Dusty Rose and Rosewood, which are both nude/rosy coloured which is great for creating naturally defined lips. Buy it from DavidJones (here)

Tom Ford Shade & Illuminate and Shade & Illuminate Brush: Great contouring duos from Tom Ford. Extremely high end for someone just want to try out contouring (like me), but these two little treasures are just irresistible. There are mixed reviews on the web about the brush some haled it as a“must have” while some others wondered “what on earth would anyone use this for”. What I like about the brush is the flat sculpting head, which will create very precise lines so great for the sculpted look. The contouring palette is in cream format, which is rare, most contouring sets are in powder form. I think cream will blend better without looking cacky or dry. These are very expensive they will set you back $220 AU. Cheaper versions can be found at Becca or NARS. Buy it from David Jones(here) and (here)

Burberry Lip Cover: I have made some great purchases from Burberry this year and to match my new eye palette in Nude Rose I really wanted the lip cover in English Rose or Cameo Rose. The difficulties have been choosing from a great selection of muted rose shade. Buy it from David Jones (here)
